Sokullu Mosque +

The square planned mosque measures 12,45 x 12,45 m. The body walls are built of smooth cut stone on the outside and inside. It is covered with a dome covered with lead. The last congregation place has three compartments and is covered with a dome. There are mahfil and minaret doors on the sides of the last congregation. A mihrab niche was opened in the middle of both wings and a window was opened on each side. The door placed in the centre of the façade has a muqarnas surrounded by mouldings. There is a passionflower motif and a mihrab verse on the muqarnas on the marble mihrab. The pulpit has a simple appearance. Two lower windows were opened on the qibla and side walls. The upper row windows are four on the side facades and three on the qibla facade. Wooden windows and cupboard doors are decorated with geometric interlaces and ornaments. The bronze handle of the mosque door is decorated with rumi-palmettes. The entrance space has a deep eyebrow arch and there is a mahfil above it. The minaret, which was destroyed in the Balkan War, was built later.
